Pulse’s Sammy Jones takes us through marvellous May’s stage attractions in the ‘fampton... Electric vehicles continue to grow in popularity as drivers gain confidence in range and charging, says Silverstone Leasing. The leading vehicle leasing firm has seen an uptick in sales of electric vehicles for both personal and fleet leasing as motorists face continued economic challenges, despite the government pushing back the zero-emission vehicle mandate to 2035. New laws brought in last year created a framework whereby all new cars and vans must be zero emission by 2035, rather than the original pledge of 2030. Yet, post pandemic, there were several disruptions in the vehicle market, including the semi-conductor shortage and the..

Remembering the Irthlingborough B-17 Collision: A Memorial Exhibition at Stanwick Lakes

A moving tribute to the airmen lost in the tragic 1944 B-17 collision over Irthlingborough is set to be unveiled at Stanwick Lakes, as a deeply researched exhibition brings their personal stories to life. On 22 February, it will be 81 years since two B-17 Flying Fortress aircraft—“Hells Angel II” from the 303rd Bomb Group at RAF Molesworth and “June Bug” from the 384th Bomb Group at Grafton Underwood—collided mid-air while preparing for a bombing raid in Germany as part of “Operation Argument.” Of the 20 crew members, only three survived. Now, thanks to the dedication of local volunteers and..

Looking for a lease deal? It’s good to talk

Come in, sit down. How can we help? Welcome to the Yellow Car Shop, taking vehicle buying and leasing back to the future. Looking for a new vehicle largely takes place online these days. We are fast becoming accustomed to trawling through innumerable websites looking for the right car, van or truck at the right price or with the right deal. Wouldn’t it be a joy if there were somewhere we could call into, sit down, enjoy a coffee and talk through exactly what we are looking for within the budget we have set for ourselves? The Prince and the Moths

Some bands get about, don’t they? Originating in Vancouver, Yeti Valhalla are now based out of Tokyo. What will they make of the ’fampton when they roll into The Black Prince (April 17)? Music-wise, think classic hard rock meets modern metal sensibilities, with ‘much guitar shredding and double bass blast beats.’ You know you want some, and this Thursday night will lead onto a Good Friday. Literally. Which means no work. Go let your hair down and get a portion of the Yeti. Support comes from heavy grungers from this Shire, LOKI, and Silence Mutant. Marisa and the Moths are..
