Good news, intu Milton Keynes will be open Christmas Eve from 9.30am-6pm for shoppers wanting to get some last-minute ‘panic buys’.
Wearing a face covering in the centre will continue to be mandatory and intu Milton Keynes’ team will be reminding everyone to do so if necessary. Hand sanitisers will remain at entrances and exits and throughout the mall and visitors are reminded to adhere to social distancing.
The number of people inside the centre will continue to be monitored “Safety is our absolutely priority,” says the general manager, Shelley Peppard. She adds “We are pleased to be able to reopen for non-essential retailers and give our shoppers a feeling of Christmas magic.
“Our Christmas lights will shine bright and illuminate the shopping centre as normal and festive music will play throughout to bring joy to everyone. Families will be able to do some festive shopping, visit our Après Ski Bar in Oak Court and visit one of the street food vendors. There is plenty to look forward to this Christmas at intu Milton Keynes.”
The Après Ski bar will be open each day of the week from 2 December serving traditional German sausages cooked over an open fire that can be washed down with a German beer, mulled ciders, mulled wine or even a hot chocolate. Discover the sugary delights of the freshly made waffles or explore the mountains of cheeses to find the perfect crumbly nibble to accompany your Christmas crackers.
The carousel will return for children to ride and stalls will be selling a sweet treat to fill their stockings. There are plenty of opportunities to fill their bellies, including the new Greek Street Food vendor Souv-lucky Day.
