Spooky family fun at Stanwick Lakes this October Half Term 25th October – 2nd November 2025

Stanwick Lakes is set to come alive this October Half Term with a programme of spooky adventures, creative workshops and outdoor fun for the whole family. With a full day out that’s fun and affordable, our Halloween activities are designed to encourage families to slow down and enjoy time together – from autumn crafts and seasonal treats to glowing trails and woodland adventures. Families can spend the whole day exploring, creating, and making magical memories in the great outdoors.

And it doesn’t stop there. Beyond the Halloween fun, Stanwick Lakes offers everything you need for a perfect family day out. Explore miles of scenic walking and cycling routes, hire bikes, or let the kids burn off energy in the adventure playgrounds, complete with climbing towers and water play. For those that enjoy a treat our lakeside café serves delicious seasonal, homemade treats which all contribute to a day that’s active, memorable and full of variety.

Halloween Trail, from 25^th October – 2^nd November
This half term, join our woodland animals as they go Trick or Treating around our Glowing Halloween Trail. Enjoy a spooky stroll, knock on tiny doors and discover glow in the dark secrets, before collecting your spooky toy and a sweet treat! A perfect way for the whole family to explore the outdoors and have lots of fun along the way!

Craft a Willow Lantern, 28^th, 30^th and 31^st October
Create your own spooky lantern using willow harvested by our Ranger Team. With twinkling lights and imaginative decorations, this is a magical hands-on activity perfect for families.

Fun with the Rangers: Den Building (28th October) and Forest Fun (30^th October)

Our ever-popular summer activity returns for the October half term. Learn essential survival skills in this hands-on session with our Rangers. Children will work together to build shelters and discover woodland know-how. Plus, get into the woodland and come along on an adventure with the Rangers, including fire lighting, outdoor crafts, and nature-based challenges.
