Franklins Solicitors launches £50 Challenge for 2025, inviting local charities to participate
Posted 16th September 2024Franklins Solicitors, a prominent legal firm with offices in Milton Keynes and Northampton, is once again calling on local charities to nominate themselves for its annual fundraising initiative – the Franklins £50 Challenge. The firm has committed to supporting at least eight charities in 2025, with applications open until 27 September 2024.
The Franklins £50 Challenge 2025, which will run from 24 February to 23 May, marks the sixth year of this successful campaign. The initiative has become an important platform for local charities to collaborate with businesses, raising vital funds for community services. This year’s theme, Local Help and Hope for Every Generation, emphasises the campaign’s focus on creating long-lasting, positive change in the region.
Each year, the challenge draws increasing interest from businesses of all sizes. Participating teams are provided with £50 in seed funding from Franklins, which they are tasked with turning into substantial contributions for their selected charity over a three-month period. Teams are encouraged to approach fundraising with creativity, and the initiative not only generates financial support but also raises awareness and fosters community involvement in tackling local issues.
In 2024, 40 teams from businesses across Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire collectively raised over £35,000, supporting eight local charities and setting a new benchmark for the campaign’s success. Franklins Solicitors is aiming to surpass this achievement in 2025.
Andrea Smith, Equity Partner at Franklins Solicitors, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming campaign: “The feedback from this year’s challenge has been outstanding. We’ve seen so many innovative fundraising efforts, and the response from both charities and participants has been incredibly positive.
“We’ve already received interest from a number of charities eager to join the 2025 challenge. Our goal is to partner with local charities offering support to people at various stages of life, ensuring we deliver help and hope across the community.”
Charities based in Milton Keynes or Northamptonshire, whose work aligns with the campaign’s theme, are encouraged to apply.
