Rachel McGrath, Chief Executive, Northamptonshire Community Foundation said: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic events in Bedfordshire and our thoughts are with everyone affected, particularly those who have been injured and the family of the driver who sadly lost their life. With the involvement of a rush-hour Corby service, this is something that has been felt strongly across our communities. By working with our neighbouring foundations, we are committed to ensuring support reaches those who need it most in the days and months ahead.

Karen Perkins, Chief Executive, Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation said: “At a time of crisis, we work best when we come together. BLCF are proud to lead this appeal to help those across Bedfordshire and our neighbouring counties impacted by this terrible crash. Our hearts go out to all those affected and we are committed to ensuring any support and donations raised find their way securely to those most in need.”

Nina Dauban, Chief Executive, Forever Notts added: “Forever Notts are proud to support this emergency appeal to help those affected by the tragic incident; our hearts go out to all those involved.”

Developed in line with best practice, the appeal is being administered with guidance from the National Emergencies Trust, the Fundraising Regulator and the Charity Commission to ensure all donations are managed responsibly and reach those most in need.

Funds raised will support people experiencing serious injuries, psychological trauma and financial hardship as a direct result of the crash, helping both immediate and longer-term recovery.

Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation is managing the donation platform and will work closely with the National Emergencies Trust, local emergency services and partners to distribute funds to those most affected.

Together, the three community foundations are committed to ensuring that support reaches individuals and families across the region who are facing the profound impact of this tragedy.
