If you love a good laugh (and who doesn’t?), this is one for the diary. Cransley Hospice Trust is launching a brand-new comedy night, and it’s shaping up to be a proper feel-good evening that does more than just tickle your funny bone.
Stand Up For Cransley! lands at the Holiday Inn Corby on Saturday 8th February, bringing together an impressive line-up of UK comedy talent – all in aid of raising vital funds for hospice and end-of-life care across North Northamptonshire.
A line-up worth leaving the sofa for
Hosting the night – and returning to her hometown – is Alexandra Haddow, one of the fastest-rising stars on the UK comedy circuit. Known for her sharp, relatable observations on modern life, she’ll be keeping things moving with warmth, wit and plenty of laughs along the way.
Joining her on stage are two big hitters:
- Eshaan Akbar, fresh from Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and QI, brings clever cultural commentary and effortless charisma.
- Jamie Allerton, a regular at London’s Top Secret Comedy Club, delivers razor-sharp observational humour with stories everyone can relate to.
In short: it’s a cracking line-up, whether you’re a comedy superfan or just fancy a fun night out with friends.
Laughs that make a difference
The evening takes place in the Holiday Inn’s Manor Suite, a perfect setting for a relaxed night of top-quality entertainment. Better still, every £20 ticket sold directly supports Cransley Hospice’s specialist end-of-life care services, helping patients and families across the local area when they need it most.
Sarah Caldwell, Community and Events Fundraiser at Cransley Hospice Trust, said: “We cannot wait for Stand Up For Cransley! This incredible line-up is such a treat to bring to our community. It’s a totally new event for us, and we’re so excited to kick off 2026 with a night everyone can look forward to. Every ticket truly makes a difference.”
