From 1st September
The region’s biggest visual arts festival is back, and Stanwick Lakes is proud to be one of the venues. Half a dozen talented artists will be showcasing their work throughout the month, giving you the chance to browse, chat, and be inspired. Even better, nominated pieces will be donated to support the Stanwick Lakes charity, so your visit helps both local creativity and the community.

Sunday 7th September
Ready to lace up your trainers? Whether you’re taking on the 5k, 10k, or going all out with the half marathon, this scenic run offers breathtaking views across the lakes as well as that post-run glow. Proceeds support Stanwick Lakes charity, so you’ll be running for both fitness and a fantastic cause. Spaces are still open—but not for long.

An Evening with Nick Penny
Friday 12th September
Composer, harpist, handpan player, naturalist… Nick Penny wears many hats, and all of them sound beautiful. Returning once again to Stanwick Lakes, he’ll be performing an atmospheric set inspired by the Northamptonshire countryside, blending music and birdsong into a magical hour of calm. Perfect for a late-summer Friday evening.

Saturday 20th September
History really comes to life at this year’s Heritage Open Day. Expect to stumble across a Viking encampment, see traditional blacksmithing in action, and uncover stories from the area’s past, including a 4,000-year-old burial monument. With hands-on crafts, museum exhibits, and activities for all ages, this free event is a perfect way to connect with Northamptonshire’s heritage while exploring the lakes.
