Wellingborough’s Brand New Uplifting Babywearing Dance Classes Have Arrived

How mums can find ‘me time’ and genuine connection amid childcare crisis.

The Sweat and Glow Club is thrilled to unveil its brand new babywearing dance fitness classes ‘move with mama’, tailored to offer mothers a joyful, supportive experience. These innovative classes blend easy to follow dance routines with a welcoming, community-focused environment, addressing both physical and emotional needs.

Designed with new mums in mind, these classes feature low impact movements that support postpartum recovery while offering a fun dance workout to help boost confidence as they navigate motherhood.

Participants can take breaks at their own pace, ensuring flexibility and comfort throughout the session. Older children are welcome to play at the back or join in the fun with a teddy, making it a family friendly experience.

“I noticed many of my participants struggling with childcare issues, which inspired these classes,” said Sophie, founder of Sweat and Glow Club & Move With Mama. “With postnatal depression rates rising and loneliness impacting many new mothers, we’re creating more than just a fitness class. Our sessions provide a vital space for emotional support and community connection.”

Recent statistics underscore the need for such initiatives, with the Mental Health Foundation reporting that 1 in 10 new mothers experience postnatal depression, often exacerbated by social isolation. The Sweat and Glow Club’s classes aim to combat these issues by fostering a supportive community and offering a space where mums can enjoy joyful movement and self care.

Each session concludes with self-care chats and support, providing an opportunity for mums to connect, share, and rejuvenate.
