May half term is here, and as usual, the British weather can’t quite decide what it’s doing, sun one minute, showers the next!
If you’re looking for ways to keep the kids entertained (without losing your sanity), we’ve rounded up a brilliant mix of indoor and outdoor activities happening across Northamptonshire this week.
Whether it’s bug-hunting in the sunshine or cinema trips on drizzly days, here are some fun family-friendly ideas to keep everyone happy whatever the weather.
1. Enjoy Adventure Play at Wicksteed Park
Kettering

2. Discover Mini Beasts at Stanwick Lakes

3. Step into Storytime at Delapré Abbey
Northampton
Delapré Abbey is hosting ‘Learn to Ride’ this week for the kids. Bring a picnic or chill in the café whilst children learn how to ride a pedal bike confidently and independently without the use of stabilisers.

4. The Chester House Estate
Join Chester House for May Half Term Fun at The Estate, running from Wednesday 28th May – Friday 30th May.

5. Go Wild at West Lodge Farm Park
Desborough

6. Take a Steam Train Ride at Northampton & Lamport Railway

7. Riverside Hub

8. Craft & Create at Northampton Museum & Art Gallery
Northampton Town Centre

9. Go Paddleboarding or Hire a Canoe at Rushden Lakes

10. Vue Cinema

One for a rainy day. If the weather isn’t playing ball then take the kids to the cinema. Vue will be showing kids films across the week including the new Lilo & Stich film.
11. Woburn Safari Park
