Rushden Lakes’ popular recruitment event returns next month, offering jobseekers a chance to explore more than 40 exciting roles across retail, hospitality, and public services.

Recruit Rushden Lakes will take place on Tuesday, 7 October, from 10am to 1pm at the Leisure Terrace Level 1 (opposite Cineworld). The event is free to attend and open to anyone looking for a new role, a change in career direction, or guidance on training and employability skills.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from leading Rushden Lakes brands, including Marks & Spencer, Lago Lounge, The Card Factory, River Island, Beaverbrooks, Next, Wildwood, Wren, and Flip Out. Public sector employers such as Northants Police, Fire and Rescue, and North Northants Council will also be in attendance.

Supporting organisations including the Department for Work and Pensions, National Careers Service, and Tresham College will provide advice on CV writing, interview techniques, and career development.

Rushden Lakes’ charity of the year, The Never Alone Project, will also be present to share information about volunteering opportunities within the community.

Donna French, Centre Manager at Rushden Lakes, said: “We’re proud to host our recruitment event for the eighth year. Since the launch, we’ve directly assisted more than 500 attendees into local job roles. It’s a fantastic opportunity for both jobseekers and employers to connect and benefit from the thriving local jobs market.”

Kerstin Fenelon, Asset Manager at The Crown Estate, added: “The Recruit Programme continues to create positive change by connecting people with opportunities and supporting the local economy. More than 1,000 individuals have been placed into work through the programme, which is a real testament to its success.”

Recruit Rushden Lakes continues to be a key event for those seeking new employment or training opportunities in the area, while helping local businesses attract new talent.
