Lamport Hall heads outdoors for the summer months

Summer has arrived, and with it comes a flurry of outdoor events at Lamport Hall, perfect for making the most of the great British sunshine.

Visitors to the on-site café, open Wednesday to Friday from 9am to 4pm, can enjoy a tempting range of seasonal specials. During Wimbledon fortnight, guests can expect strawberries and cream, prosecco, and tennis-themed bakes, along with fresh fruit and vegetables sourced straight from the gardens.

On Friday 27th June, Lamport Hall is set to welcome Michelle Igwilo of the acclaimed London-based supper club Ogoisfooding. Known for her sell-out events in the capital and recently spotlighted by Vogue in 2024 as a culinary talent to watch, Michelle will be bringing her Nigerian-inspired menu to the stunning Walled Garden for a truly unique dining experience.

Following its successful return in 2024, the Lamport Study Day is back on Tuesday 3rd June. The event features four distinguished speakers, including renowned historians and thought leaders in heritage, who will cover fascinating topics such as the garden gnome, Charles I’s private life, heritage in the modern age, and life in the country house between the wars. Attendees can enjoy a full day of learning alongside refreshments and a buffet lunch, all within the tranquil setting of the Hall and its gardens.

New for 2025, Lamport Hall is proud to present the inaugural Lamport Vehicle Festival on Sunday 8th June. From vintage classics and camper vans to motorcycles, trucks and other special interest vehicles, this family-friendly day promises something for everyone, complete with entertainment throughout the day.

Another exciting addition to the calendar is the Rare Plant Fair on Sunday 15th June. The fair offers visitors the chance to purchase unique and unusual plants directly from dedicated growers, who are happy to offer expert advice. The gardens will be open to visitors too, offering a rare chance to enjoy them on a weekend.

Lamport Hall and Gardens remain open every Wednesday and Thursday for tours of both the Hall and gardens, and on Fridays for garden visits only. The gift shop, open Wednesdays and Thursdays, is stocked with a charming selection of gifts, souvenirs, and toys.
