Sometimes the simplest ideas are the ones that stick. This August, the Northamptonshire Tourism Business Network is doing just that – shining a big, sunny spotlight on all the brilliant things to see, do, eat and experience in our county.
It’s called 31 Days of Summer, and it’s exactly what it sounds like – every single day, a different local gem will take centre stage. It might be a historic house, an adrenaline-fuelled activity, a cosy independent café, or a family-friendly festival. The only rule? It’s got to be something that shows off the very best of Northamptonshire.
From Delapré Abbey to 78 Derngate, Rushden Lakes to Kettering Park Hotel, the line-up reads like a love letter to our local attractions. And because it’s all been curated by members of the Northamptonshire Tourism Business Network, you can be sure these picks are well worth adding to your summer plans.
“We wanted something easy to get involved with, that could build real momentum,” says Kate Dent from the Network. “If you’re featured, share what’s happening with you this summer, and give a shoutout to the next business on the list. A little nudge can go a long way.”
The aim is to get locals and visitors alike exploring new corners of the county, sharing their adventures, and keeping the buzz going from one day to the next.
